VerticalNet, the leading US business-to-business internet community operator has set up a joint venture with British Telecom and the Internet Capital Group to replicate its successful business model throughout Europe. Backed by more than $227 million in cash and assets from the three partners, the new venture is setting up a series of on-line "communities" where businesses can meet, seek and exchange information and buy and sell products and services.
The jobs on offer are unrivaled positions in a proven company but with the advantage of a pre-IPO situation and we are seeking the best. We are initially seeking some specific roles in the UK but opportunities will exist for those with experience in publishing, technology and/or the Internet B2B and B2C sectors throughout Europe.
