As the UK's security intelligence service, our role is to protect the country against covertly organised threats to our democracy and way of life.
Our remit requires a wide range of talents. So you'll find people here from all backgrounds, cultures and walks of life. In fact, our diversity is one of our biggest strengths. And it's an area that we're constantly seeking to develop.
If proof were necessary why this is so important, you need only look at the roles we offer. For example, our organisation relies heavily on the work of Mobile Surveillance Officers and members of the Languages Unit. So an in-depth knowledge and understanding of a variety of communities, languages and cultures can be useful.
There is one thing that is common to all our people, though. Whether it's in general operations, management or a scientific or technical role, teamwork forms the basis of everything we do.
For this reason, the personal attributes you can offer are as important as the ones you have down on paper. We recruit people because of their attention to detail, their ability to spot key information and, most importantly, how well they share that information with colleagues.
Discretion is important to the Service, please only discuss your application with your partner/immediate family.
