Military Air Solutions – world-class technology The Military Air Solutions business of BAE Systems employs around 10,000 people on five key military aircraft businesses – Typhoon, Nimrod, Hawk, the Joint Strike Fighter and Autonomous Systems and Future Capability (Air) . Engineering Opportunities Engineering is at the heart of our business and BAE Systems’ engineers of all disciplines play a central role in ensuring the delivery of our Projects to time, budget and customers’ expectations. They are involved in all phases of the life-cycles of our Projects - from Autonomous Systems and Future Capability (Air) design through development, manufacturing, and in-service support. You could find yourself embedded in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in one of our major product streams; or assigned to one of our specialist Engineering shared service areas. They are involved in all phases of the life-cycles of our Projects - from bid preparation and submission through development, manufacturing, and in-service support. Our teams work across the Business in both the Projects and the functional areas. You could find yourself embedded in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in one of our major product streams; or working within a central Project Office; or assigned to one of the shared service areas such as Engineering. Wherever you’re placed, you will find yourself in a multi-disciplined environment working alongside staff from a wide variety of other functional backgrounds such as Engineering, Commercial or Manufacturing. In all cases, our Project Management people are governed by a central project management functional team.
