LET THE
JOURNEY
BEGIN

Life's a journey. So is your career. And a Retail Banking career with The Royal Bank of Scotland Group will take you as far as your ambitions let you.

You'll have heard of The Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest, our two renowned high street banking brands. After all, they provide over 15 million customers with a definitive range of banking and finance related services. It is success built on thinking creatively, moving quickly and focusing on the customer. But what you may not know is that, with market capitalisation of over £50 billion, we're Europe's largest financial institution and the sixth largest in the world. In February 2005, we announced record profits of £8.1 billion.

And Retail Banking's at the very heart of what we do and who we are. Take any of these four exciting routes, and you will be too.

Retail Banking Branch Networks
The buzz of working on the customer frontline starts on day one and keeps going. The skills you learn will set you in good stead for what should be a long, rewarding and far-reaching career. It's a two year, fast track programme. By the end of it, you could well find yourself managing up to eight branches and being responsible for the delivery of key sales and customer service targets.

Retail Banking Generalist
Once you finish the programme, you'll boast an unrivalled knowledge of all aspects of our Retail Banking business, not to mention Central Departments, Retail Investment Services or Direct Sales. Quite simply, you'll be in expert in your field, ready to make the most of the many opportunities that will come your way.

Risk Management Technical Analyst
You'll help define Retail Banking's future strategic management. Working with industry leaders across all aspects of financial risk management, you'll enjoy an unprecedented level of exposure to different Retail Risk Management disciplines including Credit Risk and Enterprise Risk. There's a high technical focus to this scheme, so you'll need a degree with a high statistical or numerical discipline.

Strategy & Marketing
Over your two years, you'll develop a wealth of knowledge on our product portfolio and contribute to the delivery of our strategy for our NatWest and RBS brands. The experiences you gain – along with structured training and development - will prepare you for a career as a brand or product manager.
