In 1986 the Panasonic corporation saw Kyushu Matsushita Electric establish its first manufacturing facility in the UK. Situated in Newport, South Wales the company strated to produce typewriters, dot matrix printers and CRT wordprocessing machines. Since these beginnings the business has forged a continuous progress alongside the global advancement in electronic communication products.

The year 1996 saw this company producing a full range of digital electronic products such as PBX (Private Branch Exchange) systems and later the development and production of DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telephone).

2003 saw a merge of companies within Panasonic, KME(UK) became Panasonic Communications Company Limited. PCC(UK), as the company is now known, has grown into a formidable centre for the development of digital communicatiuons, with recent building development housing the addition of a Phase 2 complex to the site.
