Jungheinrich UK Ltd

Much more than a truck manufacturer
“logistics excellence: central to Jungheinrich activity”

For Jungheinrich, logistics excellence is central to every activity behind the company. Established in 1953, the company developed from a small workshop in Hamburg employing 30 staff and with a first year turnover of DM 2.5m, to its present status as a global enterprise with a workforce of over 9000 employees and a turnover in excess of €1,5 billion euros. In the intervening years, Jungheinrich has evolved from a manufacturer of materials handling equipment to a logistics service provider with the capability of supplying anything from a simple hand pallet truck through to a fully automated warehouse system.

Jungheinrich UK

The UK headquarters are based in Milton Keynes (above). This lies at the hub of six strategically sited Customer Service Centres in Scotland (Cumbernauld), the North West (Warrington), the North East (Sheffield), The Midlands (Birmingham), the South West (Bristol) and in the South East (Milton Keynes). Jungheinrich UK now offers the most comprehensive range of materials handling solutions and services available from a single source. “moving from standard products to tailored solutions” With today’s logistics scene dominated by a high level of mobility and flexibility, tailored solutions are rapidly replacing standard product ranges. Jungheinrich has responded with a modern, broadly-based portfolio based on over 600

model variants in its truck range. This extends from simple hand pallet trucks through all types of lift trucks covering powered pallet trucks/stackers, counterbalance forklifts in both electric and IC-engine versions, reach trucks, order pickers, high rack stackers/order pickers and sideloaders.

“Jungheinrich: well worthwhile”

The company’s current strategy aims to make ‘Jungheinrich’ the strongest brand worldwide in the materials handling sector. Part of that strategy has involved a full recognition of the issues and needs confronting today’s marketplace and to give customers the security of knowing that Jungheinrich fully understands their business. That essential process, in turn, is one which seeks the agreement of all customers to the company’s current positioning statement: Jungheinrich: well worthwhile.
