Fujitsu's GeoStream portfolio comprises
a set of flexible, reliable and powerful network elements that can
be used to construct an end-to-end communications network, capable
of delivering the widest range of services to end-users. A key part
of Fujitsu's Next Generation network strategy, the GeoStream Access
Gateway, is a scaleable, multi-service platform, interfacing to the
widest range of access technologies and providing aggregation for
IP, Gigabit Ethernet, Ethernet, ATM, TDM and POTS services, over copper,
direct fibre, PON and wireless. Incorporating media gateway functionality,
with standards-based external control interfaces, GeoStream Access
Gateway provides an ideal platform for PSTN evolution to the Next
Generation Network. With combined packet and TDM capabilities, GeoStream
Access Gateway can support the migration of services from legacy networks
to the new core. |

Whilst keeping at the leading edge
of telecommunications technology with its Broadband, transmission
(SDH and TPON) and radio systems, Fujitsu has, in Europe, become a
major national supplier of External Network Support Services to a
number of Telecom Operators. With access to over 700 operatives, 300
fully equipped vehicles working from eleven sites Fujitsu currently
offer a full range of services from turnkey, including network planning,
safety and risk assessment and statutory body co-ordination, civils
and cable provision, through to labour only supply as part of a team
contract.
Fujitsu has in-house resources and expertise, which are trained
and accredited. It has invested in training teams at various depots
to ensure comprehensive cover through the UK. In addition to this
Fujitsu has a highly experienced Project Team with extensive knowledge
of managing complex installation and testing activities.
Fujitsu works with its customers to meet exact requirements and
recognise that as a quality service provider customer care is essential
and this is therefore promoted throughout its global operations.
Fujitsu is playing a fundamental role in the creation of 'Broadband
Britain' - from world-leading products and technology, through project
planning, community liaison, cable laying and civil engineering,
to installation implementation and ongoing maintenance.
