Biwater Services Limited was formed in 2006 as the holding company for Biwater Treatment Limited and Farrer Consulting Limited. The new structure was created to enable diversification within the existing UK water market and provide a platform for growth within the worldwide environmental consultancy markets. Bi Product Recovery is the latest addition to the portfolio enabling Biwater Services to take advantage of the increasing focus on solid waste and renewable energy markets.

Biwater Services is setting itself for the future. Since 2005 we have seen our turnover grow from £65 million to £120 million, we have a reputation for excellence within the UK water market and are now positioning ourselves to become a significant force within the general environmental market place.

Biwater Treatment is a successful and robust business with a T/O of £84 million in 2007. The business has doubled in the last six years and at present are working on Amp4 programmes throughout the UK which includes the largest single water treatment project in Europe at Minworth WWTW in the Midlands which has a value of £100 million. We are also confident of securing 5 frameworks in Amp5 along with expansion into other process driven project management markets.

Farrer Consulting is a new company built on the technical water engineering and Water Asset Management division of Biwater Treatment and achieved a T/O of £14 million in their first year of trading. Farrer have a very strong presence in the Central Belt of Scotland and often gain many opportunities through Biwater International and Biwater Treatment. Their strategy is to expand by acquisition and organic growth over the next 5 years into the worldwide environmental market, reducing its reliance on the regulated UK water industry.

Bi Product Recovery is the latest addition to the Biwater Services portfolio. It will focus on the rapidly expanding solid waste and renewable energy markets, providing advice, consultancy, finance and logistics in developing innovative solutions for the disposal or conversion of solid waste to energy. The business will utilise the skills of both Biwater Treatment and Farrer Consulting for the designing of their waste to energy projects.
