Internal audit has changed dramatically in recent years, evolving from a traditional auditing role, with a charter of protecting enterprise value, to that of an internal consultant, with increasing organization-wide pressure to enhance shareholder value. Since the adoption of the Sarbannes-Oxley Act the importance of our ERS department has grown dramatically, especially as it relates to the provision of internal audit services, especially services to the commercial reinsurance industry in Bermuda
Our ERS group assists our auditors with specialist skills on audit engagements and work independently for non-audit clients to assist them with their preparations for the requirements of the Act.

We work closely and collaboratively with our clients, providing the full range of services such as helping to design a strategic plan for internal audit, reengineering existing departments and providing specialized resources.
