Every year, nearly 10 billion rides are taken worldwide using Cubic fare collection systems. After more than 30 years and with 45 million passengers a day using our systems, Cubic is the industry leader in delivering proven solutions for a world on the move.

We are principle partners in the TranSys consortium, responsible for the implementation of Transport for London's Oyster smartcard. The £1.2 billion, 17 year integrated ticketing project, called Prestige, began in 1998 and was the largest PFI deal in UK history. One of the most significant achievements of this project was that the new system was installed along side the existing one, which was then decommissioned and removed. All this was achieved with little or no disruption to the end user and no loss of revenue to TfL. Today, there are more than 2.1 million Oyster cards in use.

Cubic has delivered over 400 projects in 40 major markets on five continents. Our end-to-end solutions provide everything an operator needs for a complete automated fare collection system including access control gates, onboard validators, automatic ticket vending machines, terminals for sales agents, ticket initialization and recycling systems as well as information systems for station, depot and central management, and back-office and regional clearinghouse systems. Our innovative systems accommodate all ticketing technologies including magnetics, proof of payment, and smart cards.
