Choices Video is part of the Home Entertainment Corporation (HEC). The Company was established in 1985 and is now the second largest video and DVD rental business in England and Wales.

Having started with 17 staff in 1985, the Company now employs approximately 2,150 staff of which 480 of our staff are based at the Head Office in Peterborough.

The Company's first owned retail store was opened in 1986 and that division of its business now trades as Choices Video from over 200 outlets in England and Wales, primarily focussing on DVD, Video and computer games rental and sale. In addition, stores sell confectionery, mobile phones and other related products.

The company is a firm believer in Quality Training, and 2004 sees the launch of a comprehensive new Training and Development programme for all staff, including a programme for Managers who wish to develop their careers even further! All new Managers receive 4 weeks basic training, plus a 2 day Head Office Induction.

Our stores are first class, with bright, welcoming interiors, luxury fittings and comfortable climate controls that help to create a pleasant working environment. Many of our Managers enjoy the flexible hours, allowing them to avoid the rush hour when travelling to work! Our new stores have a 21st century feel, and we are always at the forefront when it comes to adding new products such as the latest mobile phones and portable DVD players - all at fantastic prices!

Our staff also enjoy working with entertainment product, with new films and games out every week and the opportunity to talk to customers about products they have affinity with. We encourage staff to give their feedback to help us make purchasing decisions, and offer access to pre released films to help with this. We also offer generous discounts on sales and rentals for our staff.
