We do all this through our brands. Centrica Energy is our vibrant, innovative and fast-growing upstream business. This business is involved in power generation to meet the energy needs of our customers today, and exploration & production in countries such as Nigeria and Norway to source the supplies of the future.

Our downstream business is one of the UK's most established brands - British Gas. Through British Gas Residential Energy (and Nwy Prydain and Scottish Gas in Wales and Scotland respectively), we supply gas and electricity to more homes in Britain than anyone else. In the commercial sector, British Gas Business is the leading supplier of energy to businesses. And British Gas Services is Britain's largest domestic central heating and gas appliance installer, as well as providing unbeatable maintenance and breakdown cover.
