- Barclaycard was the UK's first credit card back in 1966, and has now grown to become one of the leading credit card businesses in Europe with 11.2 million retail customers and 3.7 million cards issued internationally. Barclaycard now incorporates all of the Group's UK secured and card lending products and expertise.
- International Retail and Commercial Banking is the global retail and commercial banking operation. With 2.2 million international clients in the Caribbean, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Africa, it provides a range of banking services, including current accounts, savings, investments, mortgages and loans, as well as services to corporate customers.
- Our Wealth Management division serves affluent, high net worth and corporate clients, primarily in the UK and continental Europe, providing private banking, offshore banking, stockbroking, financial planning and asset management services.
- Barclays Global Investors, one of the world's largest asset managers and a leading provider of investment management products and services. It has over 2,700 institutional clients and over £780 billion of assets under management.
- Barclays Capital, the investment banking division, provides large corporate, institutional and government clients with solutions to their financing and risk management needs. Headquartered in London, it employs over 8,300 staff in 22 locations around the world, with its main offices in London and New York.
